I was lucky enough to secure a placement at Peter Pan when I was at college. This was an amazing experience and made me realise how rewarding this work is. I decided to specialise in SEND, and I started my career at Peter Pan when I had completed my Level 3 National diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development.
I have been supported to develop my career and progress from a trainee practitioner to specialist practitioner to Deputy Centre Manager. As a staff team we take part in training on a regular basis to ensure our knowledge is up to date, relevant and supports the children and families to the best of our ability.
I love my job as it is so rewarding. I love seeing the impact we have on the children and their families every week. We have such a great and friendly team which makes it a lovely place to work.
- I joined the Peter Pan Centre in October 2015
- I have an NCFE CACHE level 4 Early Years Advance Practitioner Certificate
- I have a keen interest in supporting children with a wide range of SEND and I'm the Peter Pan pro at teaching our team new songs using Makaton signing!
